All Terrain Vehicle Courses

Full training is an obvious requirement for the safe and responsible operation of machinery and vehicles and it has become essential that employers should ensure that staff are both competent and safety-conscious in their handling.  Operators should also be aware of the implications and consequences of today's "open gate" countryside.

Courses are normally at our conveniently situated off-road course in the hills above Stirling but, subject to numbers and suitability, may be held at the location of your choice.  You may use one of our standard quad bikes or bring your own ATV (please advise make and model when booking your course).

The Absolutely Scotland ATV course covers the following:

Introduction to the Vehicle
Preparations for Driving
Basic Handling
Parking, braking, turning, reversing, reading terrain, hills and slopes, riding through water, implements and loads
Riding Techniques
Controls, starting, braking and turning, uphill/downhill/traverse riding, emergency stops, obstacles, water hazards, winter hazards
Safety Principles
Safe Riding Practices

ATV courses are held throughout the year.
